This is a piece by Keicondo, a potter working in Kasama.
Color has always been a significant element when discussing Kei's ceramics.
The "yellow" that has become synonymous with his work, the "white" with its quiet presence, and the "green" that he has been exploring in recent years.
These colors interact, and their charm is accentuated when combined in this lineup.
And this time, "red" has been added as a new color.
This "red" utilizes the natural color of the clay from Kasama, Kei's hometown.
The natural hue of the clay gently emerges through firing, revealing an expression that combines both calmness and strength.
Adding color is about deepening one's understanding of the material.
We hope you can sense the "soil character" of Keicondo's ceramics that emerges through each color.
