This is a work by Keicondo, a potter from Kasama.
Color has always been a significant element in discussing Kei's ceramics.
The "yellow" that has become synonymous with his work, the "white" with its quiet presence, and the "green" he has been exploring in recent years.
Each color resonates with the others, and the lineup highlights the individual charm of each piece through their combinations.
And this time, "red" has been added as a new color.
This "red" utilizes the natural color of the clay from Kei's hometown of Kasama.
The natural color of the clay gently emerges through firing, revealing an expression that combines serenity and strength.
Adding color deepens one's understanding of the material.
We hope you can feel the "terroir" of Keicondo's ceramics that emerges through each color.
