Takeshi Yoshida and Sanae Higuchi Duo Exhibition "Chronicle" —Earth and Brush—

July 4 - 12, 2026
Takeshi Yoshida and Sanae Higuchi Duo Exhibition

The stillness of minerals slumbering deep underground where light cannot reach, and the memories humanity first etched into dark caves.
This primordial scenery, encompassing an immense span of time, overlaps with the dedicated craftsmanship of two individuals who stoically confront earth and fire with an unchanging style.

Joe Yoshida, who brings forth an ancient ambiance, as if "excavated" from deep within the earth after a long passage of time, using only the reactions between clay and glaze.
Sanae Higuchi, who, like "cave paintings" left in a grotto, entrusts her memories and instincts to a single "brush" to create her art.

Form that seals time within clay, and brushwork that weaves narratives into clay.
Though their approaches differ, deep within both artists' works, the magnificent "chronicle" of humanity's ancient engagement with earth and fire quietly pulsates.

This exhibition represents the current endeavors of these two individuals who stoically continue to record their explorations.
We invite you to experience a space where two histories, brimming with intellectual romance, intersect.
