These are works by Eiichi Fukuda of Sugary Ceramics, made in Namerikawa City, Toyama Prefecture.
Mr. Fukuda draws inspiration from the Annan-style technique, combining gosu (underglaze blue) painting with tube-lining (ittchin) to create his unique landscapes on pottery.
In addition to the lightness of classical patterns, this collection features many overglaze enamel pieces, enriching the expression of lines born from his brushstrokes.
The lingering calm blue, the delicate colors, and the somewhat fantastical motifs.
A new collection of quiet and clear pieces, as if nestled in the winter air, is now available.
All works are hand-painted by Mr. Fukuda.
Please take your time to admire them, as if tracing the brushstrokes left on the pottery.
