Nagako Fujita creates "tools for living" such as tableware, interiors, and accessories using a technique called "tankin" (metal hammering), which involves hammering and deforming metal.

Her works, primarily made from copper, brass, and tin, are vessels with a unique worldview, meticulously crafted over time with attention to every detail, including form, processing method, and texture.
Although Ms. Fujita also creates objects and tea ceremony utensils, a characteristic of her work is the abundance of modern pieces, as she proposes "metal works that can be easily incorporated into daily life, and a lifestyle with metal."

While metal tableware may not be very common in Japan, it has appeared frequently throughout history and continues to be used for everyday purposes in many countries overseas.
Ms. Fujita's metalwork pieces are vessels that can be naturally added to your dining table or interior.
Metal, a material different from ceramics and glass, offers new inspiration to daily life.

●Message from Ms. Fujita●
I believe that the changes in metal over time are not very widely known.
While many people perceive "rust" as a bad thing, it is the charm of metal's aging.
We can re-sulfide finish and re-wax coat for a fee.
