Yoji Matsuoka Yamanami Small Bowl

These works are by Youji Matsuoka, who runs a blown glass studio in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Many of Mr. Matsuoka's vessels feature gentle, rounded designs, and some are even titled "Marui" (meaning "round").
In addition to the series of slightly amber-tinted clear glass, there is also a new series of colored glass.
They have a good thickness, fit comfortably in the hand, and are suitable for everyday use.

When the transparent, round glass captures light, it creates a warm spot in the space.
