These works are by Youji Matsuoka, who creates glass art at his studio in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Many of Matsuoka's vessels feature gentle, rounded designs, some even bearing the title "Marui" (meaning "round").
In addition to a series of clear glass with a slight amber hue, he also offers a new series of colored glass.
They have a good thickness, feel very comfortable in the hand, and are suitable for everyday use.
When the transparent, rounded glass captures light, it creates a warm spot in the space.
