This is a work by Taiga Oku, a glass artist active in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture.
His beautiful, transparent works, through which light passes, are created using blow working (blown glass). These vessels, crafted with a commitment to what constitutes a beautiful form, can truly be described as "dignified," possessing a presence that refines any space they inhabit.
Oku creates his works with the philosophy of "things to use every day, things to keep nearby, things that are simple and beautiful."
Oku's works are beautiful in the inherent color of the glass itself, and when light passes through them, they shimmer with a rainbow of colors. While their forms are delicate, they possess a moderate thickness and weight, making them works that beautifully adorn daily life while blending in seamlessly.
