These are works by Taiga Oku, a glass artist working in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture.
His beautiful, transparent works, through which light passes, are created using the blow-work (blown glass) technique.
He meticulously crafts his vessels with a focus on what constitutes a beautiful form. The word "dignified" perfectly describes them; their mere presence tightens the space around them.
Mr. Oku creates his works with the belief that they should be "items for daily use, things you want to keep close, simple and beautiful."
Mr. Oku's works are characterized by the beautiful color of the glass itself, which sparkles with rainbow hues when light passes through it.
Although they have delicate forms, they also have a moderate thickness and weight, making them works that beautifully adorn everyday life while seamlessly blending in.
