These are works by Taiga Oku, a glass artist active in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture.
His beautiful, transparent works, through which light passes, are created using blow work (blown glass). With a commitment to what constitutes a beautiful form, his vessels are truly "dignified," and their mere presence tightens the space around them.
"Things used daily. Things you want to keep close. Things that are simple and beautiful." Mr. Oku creates his works with these thoughts in mind.
Mr. Oku's works are beautiful in the inherent color of the glass itself, and they sparkle in rainbow colors when light passes through them. Though they have a delicate form, they also have a good thickness and weight, making them works that beautifully color everyday life while blending in.
