SUZUKI Hiromi: Twilight Mug

These are works by Hiromi Suzuki, a potter in Ogoto, Mashiko-machi, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture.
Ms. Suzuki focuses on simplicity in her pottery, prioritizing touch, ease of use, and compatibility with food presentation.

The most striking aspect of her work is the faint, delicate, and beautiful colors.
There are various expressions within the gentle gradations, and the impression changes completely depending on whether it's in a bright or dark place.

Names such as "Sakura-iro" (cherry blossom color) and "Yoi-iro" (dusk color) also perfectly match the impression of the colors.
Despite their soft atmosphere, these vessels have a firm, distinctive charm.
