These are the works of Yuta Tsukamoto, a young ceramic artist who creates pottery in Taketoyo-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi Prefecture.
He primarily creates ceramic vessels using a potter's wheel, crafting pieces with different textures: soft "white," hard and dignified "black," subtly gleaming "silver," and "pale silver" with beautiful fine crackles.
For this occasion, Mr. Tsukamoto created many vessels for Chinese and Japanese tea, which he himself enjoys daily.
His abstract, somewhat sculptural forms and details designed to fit comfortably in the hand reflect the earnest gaze of a creator who deeply engages with daily tea time.
Everyday tableware such as plates and bowls, with their simple yet nuanced designs, pair well with various ingredients and blend seamlessly into daily life.
We hope you choose a piece of pottery that can enrich your daily moments—even just a little bit.
