Takeshi Yoshida, a potter who works in Mashiko, Haga County, Tochigi Prefecture, a town famous for its pottery.
Mr. Yoshida mainly creates two series: "Bronze," which has a texture like unearthed artifacts, and "Hakudeisai" (White Mud Glaze), which resembles the walls of ancient ruins.
In recent years, he has also been producing more rare "Akasai" (Red Glaze) works and a series with very elaborate and strong sculptural elements.
Many of his works show a strong commitment to color and texture, and their unique appearance, like unearthed artifacts, is distinctive.
This time, there are also creative ceramic works such as masks and candle holders.
On the other hand, many of his vessels are lightweight, making them perfect for everyday use.

*Due to being handmade one by one, there may be individual differences in size, color, pattern, and weight.
Also, there may be crack-like marks on the back of the vessel or inside the footring,
but these are superficial kiln cracks from firing and do not pose a problem for use.
Please be aware of this in advance.
