Takeshi Yoshida is a ceramic artist working in Mashiko Town, Haga County, Tochigi Prefecture, a town famous for its pottery.

Yoshida mainly creates works in his "Bronze" series, which has the texture of excavated artifacts, and his "Hakudeisai" (White Clay Glaze) series, which resembles ancient ruins. In recent years, he has also added works in the rare "Akasai" (Red Glaze) series and a series with highly elaborate sculptural elements.

Many of his works clearly show his dedication to color and texture, and their unique appearance, reminiscent of excavated artifacts, is distinctive. This time, we also have original ceramic works such as masks and candle holders.

On the other hand, many of his vessels are lightly made, making them perfect for everyday use.

■ Size: Diameter 7.5cm, Height 11cm

* As each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in size, color, pattern, and weight.
Also, there may be crack-like marks on the back of the vessel or on the inside of the footring, but these are superficial firing cracks due to the firing process and do not pose any problem for use.
Please be aware of this in advance.
