These are the works of Eiichi Fukuda of Sugary Ceramics, produced in Namerikawa City, Toyama Prefecture.
Inspired by the Annamese technique, Fukuda combines underglaze blue painting with a slip-trailing technique called "icchinn" to create unique landscapes on his pottery.
In addition to the lightness of classic patterns, this collection also features many overglaze enamel works, and the expressive lines created by the brushstrokes are even richer.
The lingering calm blue, the subtle colors, and the somewhat fantastical motifs.
A new collection with a quiet and clear presence, as if nestled in the winter air, is now available.
All works are hand-painted by Fukuda.
Please take your time and follow the brushstrokes left on each piece.
