Fukuda Eiichi Engraved Annamese Large Round Bowl A

This is a piece by Eiichi Fukuda of Sugary Ceramics, created in Namerikawa City, Toyama Prefecture.

Inspired by the Annan ware technique, Fukuda combines underglaze blue painting with a slip-trailing technique called "icchinn" to create unique landscapes on his vessels.

In addition to the lightness of classical patterns, this collection features many overglaze enamel pieces, with the expressive lines born from the brushstrokes spreading even more richly.

The lingering impression of calm blue, subtle colors, and somewhat fantastical motifs.
New works with a quiet, clear presence, as if nestled in the winter air, are now on display.

All pieces are hand-painted by Fukuda.
Please take your time to admire them, as if tracing the brushstrokes left on the vessels.
