Ai Suzuki (floresta fabrica) flowervase

These pieces are from 'floresta fabrica,' the studio of glass artists Tsutomu Suzuki and Ai Suzuki from Ichinomiya, Mori-machi, Shizuoka Prefecture.
In Portuguese, "floresta" means forest, and "fabrica" means workshop.

From Mori-machi, which is Tsutomu Suzuki's hometown and a place where many artisans gather to create ceramics, metalwork, woodworking, textiles, and more, they share the charm of glass.
They create impressive vessels that combine the organic softness characteristic of blown glass with a modern, sharp aesthetic.

The inherent beauty of the glass, its remarkably soft feel and smooth mouthfeel, make these pieces integrate seamlessly into daily life.
These works are enjoyable to admire as they shimmer and disperse light.
