Eiko Fujita uses the metal-hammering technique of "tankin" to create "everyday tools" such as tableware, interior decorations, and accessories.
Her works, primarily made from copper, brass, and tin, are meticulously crafted over time, each possessing a unique worldview born from her unwavering attention to detail in form, processing methods, and texture.
While Ms. Fujita also creates objects and tea ceremony utensils, a notable characteristic of her work is the prevalence of contemporary pieces, as she aims to "propose metal works that can be easily incorporated into daily life, and a lifestyle with metal."
Although metal tableware is not widely familiar in Japan, it has appeared frequently throughout history and continues to be used for everyday purposes in many countries abroad.
Ms. Fujita's metalworks are dishes that can be naturally added to your dining table or interior.
Metal, a material different from ceramics and glass, offers new inspiration to daily life.

●Message from Ms. Fujita●
I believe that the aging process of metal is not widely familiar.
Many people perceive "rust" as a negative thing, but it is actually the charm of metal's aging process.
We offer re-sulfur finishing and re-wax coating services for a fee.
