After studying pottery in Kyoto and Kasama, Ms. Goto now creates her pieces in her hometown of Niigata.
She creates pottery with the idea of making pieces that fit into daily life and bring a sense of comfort through their use.

She mainly uses a potter's wheel for shaping, focusing on the warmth and softness unique to handmade items.
She primarily uses semi-porcelain clay, resulting in pieces with a smooth texture.

Fine crystals give a pearl-like luster, and glossy and matte textures coexist.
