GOTO Yohei Rim Plate C

These are works by Yohei Goto, who has a studio in Chiba Prefecture.
He creates glass works using kiln-forming and pâte de verre techniques.

These techniques are very labor-intensive, as they involve creating a mold from a prototype, filling it with glass paste, firing it, and then polishing the surface.
However, these techniques produce a unique charm, like jewels, with fine bubbles, delicate color gradations, and a translucent finish.

Mr. Goto, who also works with stained glass, creates works using various other techniques and types of glass.
His pieces exude a poetic tranquility amidst their brightness.
