GOTO Yohei Small Plate Mizore C

These are works by Yohei Goto, who has a studio in Chiba Prefecture.
He creates glass artworks using kiln-forming and pâte de verre techniques.

These techniques are very labor-intensive as they involve creating a mold from an original form, filling it with glass paste, firing it, and then polishing the surface.
However, these techniques produce a jewel-like charm with fine bubbles, delicate color gradations, and translucent finishes that are unique to them.

Mr. Goto, who also works with stained glass, creates artworks using various other techniques and types of glass.
His works exude a poetic tranquility amidst their brightness.
