This is a piece by Keicondo, a potter working in Kasama.
Color has always been a significant element in Kei's pottery.
His signature "yellow," the quietly impactful "white," and the "green" he has been exploring in recent years, all interact and highlight each other's charms when combined.
This time, "red" has been added as a new color.
This "red" utilizes the natural color of the clay from Kasama, Kei's hometown.
The natural color of the clay gently emerges through firing, revealing an expression that combines both calm and strength.
Adding color deepens one's understanding of the material.
