These are works by Keicondo, a potter based in Kasama.
Color has always been a significant element when discussing Kei's ceramics.
The "yellow" that has become synonymous with his work, the "white" with its quiet presence, and the "green" he has been working on in recent years.
They all interact with each other, and when combined, they create a lineup where each piece's charm stands out.
And this time, "red" has been added as a new color.
The "red" utilizes the natural color of the clay from Kasama, Kei's hometown.
The natural hue of the clay gently emerges through firing, revealing an expression that combines calmness and strength.
Adding color is about deepening one's understanding of the material.
We hope you can feel the "soil character" of Keicondo's ceramics that emerges through each color.
