Kim Dong Hee "Warmth" Plate 18cm Diameter A

Kim creates works using a unique technique that combines fusing and blown glass.
He creates colors and patterns from individual glass pieces, then combines them and fires them into a plate shape.
After further shaping them into three-dimensional forms using blown glass and finishing them with a matte texture using sandblasting, the pieces are carefully polished to completion.

The way the colored surfaces overlap and the beauty when light passes through them are reminiscent of Pojagi, traditional Korean fabric art.
