These are works by Youji Matsuoka, who creates them at his blown glass studio in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Many of Matsuoka's vessels feature gentle, rounded designs, with some even bearing the title "Marui" (meaning "round").
In addition to his series of clear glass with a slightly amber tint, he also offers a new series of colored glass.
They have a suitable thickness, feel very comfortable in the hand, and are perfect for everyday use.
When the transparent, round glass captures light, it creates a warm spot in the space.
