Kenji Omori creates pottery in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture.

His works strongly convey a sense of "earth."
His unglazed yakishime pieces, which utilize the distinct colors of black and red clay, make us re-appreciate the inherent beauty of "earth" itself.

Many of his pieces also feature silver overlay, and the contrast between the soft, satin-like silver and the texture of the clay is exquisite.
His tableware is exceptional, and his vases are also remarkably beautiful and highly refined.

For this exhibition, he has challenged himself with new works using the "carbonization" technique and also with tea bowls.

We hope that through Omori's approach to clay, you will rediscover the beauty of the material.
