Yuka Owada Rim Plate 7-inch Gekka

This is a work by ceramist Yuka Owada.

Owada's ceramics are characterized by their soft curves and delicate glaze.
They gently change their expression in the natural light of everyday life, and touching them further enhances their presence.

In addition to a series featuring smooth material made of semi-porcelain clay with designs primarily in black and white, recent years have seen a series of elegant colors named "Gekka" (Moonlight), which has a moonlit hue, and "Usuzakura" (Pale Cherry Blossom), a green-gray with a touch of pink.

Her works, with their delicate and beautiful forms and masterful use of glazes that express subtle color variations, are like stories that invite viewers into the world that Owada creates.
