Oowada Yuka Rim Plate 8 Sun Gekka

This is a work by ceramist Yuka Owada.

Ms. Owada's vessels are characterized by soft curves and delicate glaze tones.
They gently change expression in everyday light, and their presence is even more palpable when touched.

In addition to a series of designs centered on black and white, made from smooth semi-porcelain clay, in recent years she has created elegant color series named "Gekka" (Moonlight), which has a moonlight-like hue, and "Usuzakura" (Pale Cherry Blossom), which features green-gray with a hint of pink.

Her captivating works, with their delicate and beautiful forms and glazes that express subtle color variations, are like stories that invite viewers into the world created by Ms. Owada.
