Yukari Obuchi, a ceramic artist based in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, creates works of beautiful color tones by skillfully using a variety of glazes.

The color combinations change each time, and organic changes from firing, such as how the glaze melts and flows, are also added.

There are numerous types of gradations created by the applied glazes, and in recent years, she has also been creating plates painted with colorful glazes reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.
