Ms. Obuchi, who creates pottery in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, uses a variety of colorful glazes to produce works with beautiful color tones.

The color combinations change every time, and organic changes due to firing, such as how the glaze melts and flows, are also added.

There are numerous types of gradations in her layered glazes, and in recent years she has also been producing plates painted with colorful glazes reminiscent of Impressionist paintings.
