These are works by Hiromi Suzuki, who creates pottery in Ogo-do, Mashiko-machi, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture.
Ms. Suzuki focuses on simplicity in her pottery, prioritizing tactile feel, ease of use, and compatibility with food presentation.
The most striking feature of her work is the delicate and beautiful pale colors.
There are various expressions within the gentle gradations, and the impression changes completely depending on whether you view them in bright or dark light.
The names, such as "Sakura-iro" (cherry blossom color) and "Yoi-iro" (evening color), also match the impression of the colors perfectly.
While possessing a soft atmosphere, these are sturdy and charming vessels that do not fade away.
