These are works by Toshifumi Tashiro, a ceramist who creates pottery in Mashiko, the town of pottery.

Mr. Tashiro's works are characterized by their sharp, dignified forms and calm, monochrome-centered color palette.
His works include "Ash Glaze" and "Black Ash Glaze" made with oak ash, metal-based "Manganese" and "Mottled Glaze," and his new "Oniita" series.

Although each piece has a different finish, all of his works reflect Mr. Tashiro's unique aesthetic.
