These are works by Yuta Tsukamoto, a young ceramic artist who creates pottery in Taketoyo Town, Chita-gun, Aichi Prefecture.
Centering on wheel-thrown ceramic vessels, he creates works with varying textures: soft "white," hard and dignified "black," dull-gleaming "silver," and "light silver" with its beautiful, delicate crazing.
This time, Mr. Tsukamoto created many vessels for Chinese and Japanese tea, which he himself enjoys daily.
The abstract and somewhat sculptural forms, and the finely designed details that fit comfortably in the hand, reflect the gaze of a creator who earnestly engages with daily tea time.
Everyday tableware such as plates and bowls, with their simple yet nuanced forms, pair well with various ingredients and blend seamlessly into daily life.
We hope you will choose a piece that enriches your moments of daily living—even if just a little.
