This is a piece by Yuta Tsukamoto, a young potter who creates ceramics in Taketoyo-cho, Chita-gun, Aichi Prefecture.

Focusing on wheel-thrown pottery, he creates pieces with varying textures: the soft "white," the hard and dignified "black," the dull-glowing "silver," and the delicate "light silver" with its beautiful crazing.

This time, Mr. Tsukamoto created many vessels for Chinese tea and Japanese tea, which he himself enjoys daily.
The abstract yet somewhat sculptural forms and the details designed to fit comfortably in the hand reflect the maker's earnest gaze toward his daily tea time.

Everyday tableware such as plates and bowls, with their simple yet nuanced forms, pair well with a variety of ingredients and complement daily life.
