Takeshi Yoshida creates pottery in Mashiko Town, Haga County, Tochigi Prefecture, which is famous as a town of pottery.
Yoshida mainly creates the "Bronze" series, which has a texture like excavated artifacts, and the "Hakudeisai" (white mud glaze) series, which resembles the walls of ruins.
In recent years, he has also added a growing number of series with highly elaborate sculptural elements.
Many of his works clearly show his dedication to color and texture, and their unique appearance, like excavated artifacts, is distinctive.
This time, there are also creative ceramic works such as masks and candlesticks.
On the other hand, many of his vessels are light, making them perfect for everyday use.
